I Want to Put on – My, my, my, my, my, Boogie Shoes – Glee

Posted by & filed under , , .

It’s insane how fast this year has gone by and that Christmas and Hanukah are only a few weeks away. I’ve had Boogie Shoes from Glee stuck in my head all week and it is actually the perfect song for the Christmas and Hanukah rush at all of the stores. (Not to mention I love the remake they did of My Boogie Shoes for Glee.)

If you haven’t gone shopping, bought all your gifts or starting planning for holiday parties yet. If you don’t have outfits picked out, a gym membership for after or even have your tickets to go home yet, then you probably need to put on your boogie shoes and get moving. I love this song because the remake the did of My Boogie Shoes from Glee is a lot more upbeat, faster and a lot more fun than the original version. It is perfect to listen to when you’re running errands, dealing with stores and holiday shopping or just trying to motivate to get ready to go out, etc… I do have to be honest though, I haven’t watched Glee at all this season and probably won’t watch again.

The finale when Rachel went to New York was the perfect way to end watching Glee for me. I’m sure they still have great music, I love that people tell me what’s going on, but without the original cast together and all of the new people, I have no desire to watch. Darren Chris is hot, the new cast is fun and they have great voices, but I miss when it was a bit simpler and you were actually excited to see it. They had to get rid of some of the old cast because it is a high school, but at the same time that killed off any desire to watch the show. They’ve also stopped playing any new version of Glee songs at any of the showtunes nights that I have gone to which also makes me think that it isn’t worth watching anymore. Hearing the new songs they would create and seeing the videos at Showtunes Night and other nights always made me excited to watch, but because they stopped playing them I completely forgot about the show. I’m sure it’s still a good show, but I stopped watching. If anyone still watches and wants to share their favorite new song from this season, feel free to leave a comment below.

Leave it to Kristen Chenoweth to redefine Interventions

Posted by & filed under , , , .

Last night at showtunes night they played one of the funniest parodies I have seen in a very long time.   Everyone has made their own parodies of the hit tv show intervention but no one has come close to being as ridiculous as a broadway star and Diva.  Leave it to Kristen Chenoweth to not only take a show like intervention and not only make a parody of it but also turn it into a broadway styled song. It goes to show that you can take the Star off broadway and waste her talents on TV but you cannot take the broadway out of the Star.

Kristen Chenoweth is a very vocal activist and a constant voice of equal rights and human rights.  She also has an extremely big heart, but even with all of the PC crap that is out there and that celebrities have to be careful with they are still people to and Kristen definitely has a sense of humor.

We always see her laughing and having an amazing time and when I saw this parody of Intervention that she starred in it was great to get to see her perform in her stereotypical bubbly, fun and energetic happy personality but also in a way that was funny and a bit off color.  The Kristen Chenoweth parody is not only funny and off color but it really highlights her talents to be able to play other roles and shows she can do off color humor as well as regular PC humor.

I loved this parody but I do have to warn you before you watch that there is some language and more adult oriented topics in it so please do not play it somewhere where this may offend people around you.  Thank you EFN Lounge for showtunes night and for playing the Kristen Chenoweth Intervention Parody.

Glee – The long awaited Madonna Episode

Posted by & filed under , , .

If last week’s overpowering story line crazy episode of Glee wasn’t enough to get you going crazy over this next Season, how about the rumor that the very next episode is going to be the long awaited Madonna Episode of Glee.

Ok, so it isn’t really a rumor anymore that there will be a Madonna episode of Glee, for all you dolphins out there, and it isn’t even just a rumor that it will be airing next week since it is already reported to air in publications like TV Guide, but judging by the Sue Sylvester Vogue Video where she clearly was a diva, well lesbian style, and claimed “Sue Sylvester Danced on Air” not to mention “Will Shuester I Hate You”, this episode is not only going to be Madonna Filled Material Girl insanity, but it should completely rock any Madonna fans love for Madge and completely get everyone singing and going crazy while watching the show.

Some of the songs we should hear (according to TV Guide) for the Glee Madonna Espisode include Express Yourself and Like a Prayer.  Not only are they classic Madonna, but they should be fabulous.  Especially since in the original Madonna song Like a Prayer they actually had a chorus and choir.

I cannot wait to see how this season turns out.  Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris and an entire line up of amazing talent and guest celebrity appearances.  If you are as addicted to Glee as the rest of the Gleeks out there are and want to share your opinions of the show, feel free to leave a comment here.

Can’t wait to share Next Week’s Madonna Episode of Glee with all you.

Here is the Guest Cast List taken from TV Guide.com

Dijon Talton: Matt Rutherford

Idina Menzel: Shelby Corcoran – She better sing in this one lol.

Jonathan Groff: Jesse St. James

Naya Rivera: Santana Lopez

Harry Shum: Mike Chang

New Season of Glee Starts Today!

Posted by & filed under , .

Ok Gleeks and everyone trapped in their Gleekdom.  The Glee season 2 premier starts tonight at 9:28 (special start and end time due to American Idol) on Fox and they not only pulled out all of the stops for this episode, but they went above and beyond their normal casting and are featuring the other half of the original Wicked Witches with Idina Menzel (the original Elphaba in the show Wicked) and also bringing in newer Broadway Sensation Jonathan Groff from Spring Awakening.

Not only did we love Kristen Chenoweth last season as the drunken Realtor, but now we get to watch her Wicked counterpart perform in the show.  In the episode Wheels we saw Kurt and Rachel battle it out over one of Idina’s most well known songs Defying Gravity so it’ll be great to see how they can try to top last season.

Don’t forget to turn on Fox tonight at 9:28 pm EST to watch the season 2 premier of Glee on Fox and then come back here to post about it.
