Is Anyone Here For Love Video – Gentlemen Prefer Blondes

Posted by & filed under , , .

Ok, so I’ve never actually listened to the words from this showtune, especially when the video is playing, and I don’t think you have ever listened either if you’ve only seen the video for Is Anyone Here For Love from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. They basically took a ton of really hot guys and put them in flesh colored short shorts and have them working out, swimming, exercising, playing sports and showing off for each other. At first I just stare at them and then all of the sudden I realize I need to get my fat butt back to the gym. I absolutely love the video for Is Anyone Here For Love from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, not just because of the hot guys, but because it is an awesome showtune and video to help you get ready for summer.

The gym that everyone is in is bright colored and everyone looks healthy. It reminds you of spring or summer and sort of gets you ready for the beach, motivated to work out and also ready to find love. What always bugs me about it though is that they have the actress who starred in Mommy Dearest so when you’re watching her in a completely different role where she is actually not abusive, still absolutely gorgeous and also being a nice person, it kind of throws you off. It’s a complete turn around from one character to another and in this one you actually love her as opposed to when she played Joan Crawford.

Is Anyone Here For Love is definitely an awesome video and one that I think everyone watches over and over if they haven’t seen it before. It isn’t as well known as some of the other songs from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes like Diamonds Are a Girls Best Friend, but it is one that people always recognize when they see the video. The funny thing is that even though they have seen the video, most of the people that watch it don’t know any of the words, the name of the song or what show it is from. All they know is that it is the video with all of the really hot guys dressed to look naked and working out. It’s kind of funny how such a well known video is also one of the least known showtunes and people also don’t know the show it’s from because they get confused of the actress or they just don’t know the show. Is Anyone Here For Love is an awesome showtune to help you get ready for Summer and definitely one of my favorite videos to help motivate me to go to the gym. The video for Is Anyone Here For Love from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes is a great motivator as well so I think I am going to go running real quick. Have a good one and I hope you enjoy the video.

One of the most famous showtunes ever is Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes or Lorilei which was the original name of the show. Not only has almost every major artists sang this song from Carol Channing to Beyonce, Ethel Merman to Nicole Kidman and even Elton John, but each one makes their own variation of it. Some of them keep the original version while others have turned it into a dance mix and some artists slow it down to an R&B song. You can find dance versions of Diamond’s are a Girls Best Friend and also swing versions. It is a showtune that almost everyone knows and loves to sing to. With all of the weddings starting in spring and summer, I thought it would be a fun showtune to review for today and play a ton of different versions of Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend for you. Here are a few of my favorite versions of the song and if you have one that is missing from here, please feel free to leave a comment below and you can also link to the YouTube video for it.

My favorite performance of the classic version of Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend is Carol Channing singing it live. She is one of my favorite Broadway Stars and the person who originated the song I think. She is absolutely amazing for this song and the perfect person to sing it.

A fun variation of the song Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend is from the newer movie Burlesque. They sped it up a bit and turned it into a strip tease. They chopped up the song which ruins it a bit, but they also turned it into a newer version which is kind of fun.

In the movie version of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Marilyn Monroe performed the song and I think they actually dubbed her voice for a few of the notes since the producers thought that her voice was funny sounding. This version is incredible and I love how they used people for the lights in the video on the Chandelier as well as down the aisles.

In Jane Russel’s version of Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend she turns a classy fur coat and a court room into a burlesque theatre and performs the song to win over the crowd. This is one of the most classic and fun versions of the song.

I had never heard of the Puppini Sisters before but in their version they turned it into an old styled fun and upbeat song. They also made it into a version for three voices instead of just one.

In Nicole’s version, she slows the song down to become an R&B version while keeping the same melody and the same theme in the song. This is a really cool version.

When Nicole Kidman came out on a trapeze in Moulin Rouge and sang a fast and fun version of Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend she definitely modernized a classic performance and took the song over. This is one of the most popular modern versions of this classic showtune.

The last version of Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend is from the Queen of England,,,Elton John. This is one of the funnier and one the most popular versions of the song as well.

Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend is one of the most famous showtunes and there are a ton of ways to perform it. Everyone loves the song and you can perform it as a group, solo or however you want. I love that you can make it classy or burlesque or you can even turn it into a parody which is why it has lasted for so many years. Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend is one of the most well known showtunes and one that I think everyone loves.
